This federation home was struggling to meet modern living requirements. The goal of this project was to revitalise and preserve its unique heritage features while updating its living spaces with seamless extensions and modern renovations.
To begin the project, our team excavated the lower ground floor and added a weatherboard extension to the rear of the home. This added more living spaces while opening up the kitchen, dining and living rooms into one streamlined area designed for function and flow. We then ensured this seamlessly transitioned into the level outdoor entertaining area.
To accomplish this, our team had to manage and overcome several constraints imposed by the neighbouring property and internal drainage issues. With our team of experts, we were able to find innovative solutions to each of these problems.
We also added several unique features to complement the historical architecture. These included a double brick detached garage with leadlight glass above the rear stacker doors to reflect the original lighting elements.
Likewise, we added a kitchen servery to tie the changes more closely to the history of the home for stunning overall results.
